Recently I am trying to use blogs to promote my business websites, I decided I should only work on wordpress based blogs, its well known that WordPress is ideal for almost all kinds of blogging needs, people even use it as CMS, together with Open Source License make the wordpress the most popular weblog platform on the Internet.

After a while I believed that build my own blogs will be more beneficial, because then I can use established and fully owned blogs to advertise other websites, this is not something new, there are a lot of blog networks out there doing just that, the thing is that I don’t control those blogs, not to mention I can’t just post to them, obviously I will have to pay the owner to use their blogs, probably not cheap at all.

If you have tried to maintain a few different blogs you will know its not easy, if you want values for your blogs,to write real stuff for your blogs will be time consuming, its never easy to build successful blogs. There are some interesting examples, such as this one, Dog Lead, it’s name is pretty cute, and it has a lot of interesting posts, without a clear theme, there are all kinds of posts on the site. Here is another one, Web Sling Shackle, this one has main theme, all posts are following the same theme, there are a few well ranked keywords for this blog. Its easy to show more similar sites, but I believe you get the idea. One more important point, some of your blogs should not be very serious ones, do some casual postings randomly, take one blog as example, tie down straps, this will make a blog network more like naturally built blog groups.

When you already have a few interesting blogs, you can try to build a few more, the old blogs will be helpful in promoting your newly built ones, this is the way to build your own blogging network. This is just an idea, the real stuff will be more complicated, follow the professional recommendations and ethic codes of online conduct you will be fine.
